Born in India, and raised in Malaysia, The Philippines and Hong Kong, I came to Canada as a student in 2012, and settled in Tkaronto ever since. I am deeply invested in equity in the performing arts, having spent my Master's exploring decolonizing paradigms in community engagement and spaces, and founding my own performing arts collective, The Tawoos Initiative
Simultaneously, I worked with performing arts organizations across the city, ranging from programming and curation work in music, film, and visual arts. I have curated projects and festivals with the Aga Khan Museum, Music Gallery, Small World Music, The Indigenous Performing Arts Alliance, Weengushk Film Festival, The Hot Docs Canadian International Film Festival & City of Toronto.
When I'm not working, you'll find me debating acceptable nap lengths with my cats, attending electronic dance parties, and being a chronic host for dinner and movie nights.

I've had the pleasure of working with Pratishtha several times over the years as an artist in her expansive Tawoos series. From poetic sonic immersions to visceral club contexts, the vision, care, and generosity she brings to her curatorial practice is a rare gift. Bringing together diasporas with divergent histories and concerns — always with deep sensitivity to each community’s unique story and an intuitive understanding of how those stories speak to one another — she creates transformative third culture spaces that affirm the power of creative practice. The result is work that is not only beautifully realized but meaningfully connective, and I look forward to witnessing the many ways her work will continue to shape and strengthen artistic communities across borders.

Pratishtha and Tawoos were incredible partners to work with! Pratishtha’s commitment to programming excellence is equally as strong as her commitment to community representation and engagement. Her curation at our festival brought so much light, joy and beautiful experiences and we will continue to work with her whenever possible!
